Hello, my name is Stella Vaz.
From my experience, I have learned that success comes from working smart, dedication, and a never-give-up attitude. I know what it is like to “stand on my own feet”. I have learned that responsibility for the quality of my life lies entirely in my hands. I believe that leading a fulfilling life and growth are two sides of the same coin.
I am a highly motivated individual who is always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow and am always willing to lend a helping hand. Over the past 13 years, I have held various positions within the corporate world, mostly advisory services (Accountancy, Organizational Advice, and Pension Management).
In addition to the financial expertise, I know how to distance myself from the matter, so that I not only look at the problem to be solved but also at the underlying causes and anticipate possible developments. Applying my business knowledge to approach the planning and control task in a creative way.

Philanthropy
From a young age, I was raised by parents who taught me the importance of helping others, and I have always felt, and I was always passionate about making the world a better place. I have worked as a board member, controller, and project leader of the Overdie Foundation Community Centre for over six years.
In that role, I was responsible for the annual subsidy application for the Social Cultural Work projects. In my role as project leader, I organised a project that was focused on celebrating International Women’s Day.
The goal of the project was to empower and educate each other about the power we all have within us to build a stronger society. During that day we have:
1. Provided a space for women to come together and share their stories.
2. Learned about and celebrate the accomplishments of women both locally and globally.
3. Discussed the challenges that women face and brainstorm ways to address them.
